Welcome!

Lisa Fitz here, Creative Director, to tell you a bit more about the origins of Pro7ect Songwriting Retreats and Masterclasses.

The story

After working relentlessly as a self-managed singer/songwriter I had hit ‘solo artist’ burn-out! I wanted to collaborate and share the creative process with other songwriters... but didn’t know where to start.

A friend suggested I go on a songwriting retreat… and it changed my life!

My first retreat was a real eye opener… I met some incredible artists, stayed in a beautiful house in the country & realised that I loved collaborating. It was so inspiring being able to tap into, and share, the different experiences that we all have as songwriters and musicians.

I attended several more songwriting retreats but realised that whilst it was all well and good writing a song, without production, it was actually a wasted opportunity. How much cooler would it be to take home a tangible product… something that could go on to be released?

Curating a Songwriting Retreat with production was a natural progression. And when a friend asked me to sing at his 50th birthday party at the Hotel Pelirocco in Brighton, I had found my venue! And so, began the Pro7ect journey.

“I loved the moments when we were all in one room listening back to each other’s songs every night before dinner. That was very inspiring.”

-Stefan Schmid (songwriter/producer)

We have since hosted 8 annual Songwriting Retreats. Over 180 artists have joined us from around the world, to write & record over 100 songs with award winning producers in an incredible residential environment.

Working relationships have been created. Songs have been released & used for sync. Many creative ventures inside the Project community have happened & continue to evolve.

Creative spaces in amazing places: our 2021 move to Rockfield Studios in Wales was a huge success and we are excited to announce 2024 dates:

16th - 20th July 2024 RESIDENTIAL

Saturday 20th July 2024 MASTERCLASS (day only)

we look forward to sharing the Pro7ect experience with many more artists who are driven to step outside their creative confines in search for something bigger.
